The Pine draws inspiration from classic hiking and mountain boots and translates their functional character into a reduced, modern silhouette. Vegetable-tanned leather, waxed organic cotton and rugged outdoor details give the model its distinctive presence somewhere between alpine hiking boot and urban everyday shoe.
The combination of a Vibram outsole and a cushioning core made from recycled EVA provides comfort, stability and long-lasting durability. Water-resistant recycled rubber protects the upper, while the organic cotton lining keeps the shoe lightweight and breathable.

All ekn shoes are made in family-owned factories in Portugal. Most materials are sourced within Europe and selected as close to production as possible. We work with chrome-free tanned leathers, recycled fabrics and durable materials with short transport routes.
Depending on the model, selected materials and components are certified by FSC, GOTS, GRS or PETA-approved.
