Gaists Beul is a painting by Marek Bäuerlein, our Creative Director. The work embodies a clear stance: art doesn't have to be expensive, doesn't need to be explained in academic terms, and shouldn't be reserved for a small, exklusive circle. Much of what is considered "high quality" today derives its value from primarily from context, price, and accessibility - not from the work itself. This screen-print series of Gaists Beul is a deliberate counter-movement to that. 

It was printed using an experimental process with four screens: cyan, magenta, yellow, and black. A principle from offset printing, but here made openly visible rather than perfected. And therein lies its charakter: in the halftone screening, in slight shifts, in small irregularities. Things that would be considered flaws in the traditional art world. With Marek, they are entirely intentional. 

Each print is a unique piece created by the process itself. Made in friendship.
